Bredesen's redirection of funds to The Land Trust for Tennessee to boost the agency's preservation of farmland efforts. Over the past two years, The Land Trust has helped 30 farmers preserve about 9,000 acres, and these new funds could help an additional 20 to 30 landowners pay for expenses related to establishing conservation easements on their farms.
